GEO BASKETBALL

WILSON PARK PRACTICE TIME

 

GEO Basketball offers gym time on Friday nights at Wilson Park in Torrance for teams playing in the GEO Basketball League to have the opportunity to practice year round. Gym times will be between 6 and 10 p.m. and are scheduled and reserved on a first come/first served basis. GEO sponsored teams have priority for reservations and discounted fees.

 IMPORTANT NOTES FROM CITY OF TORRANCE

  • NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OF ANY TYPE ARE ALLOWED AT ANY OF THE CITY PARKS OR PARK FACILITIES PER MUNICIPAL CODE 49.2.6.
  • FOOD, DRINKS AND HARD SOLED SHOES ARE PROHIBITED IN THE GYM.
  • FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ABOVE RULES AND REGULATIONS MAY JEOPARDIZE FUTURE REQUESTS FOR FACILITY USAGE.

 

RESERVATION PROCEDURES:

For reservations, please contact Kevin Goya, Wilson Park Coordinator, at 310.212-7123 or email basketball@gardenaoptimist.org to check availability. Minimum reservation time is 4 or 5 weeks (depending on # of weeks in month) with a maximum time of 13 weeks. Reservations and practice time schedules will be maintained on a quarterly basis and posted on the GEO Basketball Website (www.gardenaoptimist.org/bball). Reservations will be open 4 weeks in advance for GEO Teams and 3 weeks in advance for Non-GEO Teams. Teams with existing reservations will have right of first refusal for reservations for the following quarter. Teams will also need to submit signed liability waivers, an Acceptance of Rules form, and a copy of your roster with payment.
